• Sundt reduced the overall project duration by 33 days by working with the structural engineer during the design phase to reconfigure the structural foundation system.
  • No spatial conflicts were experienced during the construction phase. This level of coordination was achieved by collaborating with the design team through the use of BIM during design and throughout the construction phase.

Sundt served as the San Diego Community College District’s Construction Manager for the construction of two new 48,000-square-foot, two-story classroom buildings on the district's Miramar College campus. One building is for Arts and Humanities and the other is for Mathematics and Business.

The Humanities & Arts building houses the English, Visual Arts, Music, Speech and Foreign Language programs. The building will include new "smart" classrooms, lecture hall, recording studio, studio space for drawing, painting and ceramics, and related office space for faculty and support staff.

The Mathematics & Business building includes new "smart" classrooms equipped with computers, audiovisual and multimedia equipment, a mathematics research center and related office space for faculty and support staff.
