COURTHOUSES

THE RIGHT TOOLS

It takes experience to meet the unique security requirements and complex building needs of modern criminal justice facilities.

Sundt’s deep understanding of the inner workings of today’s courthouses comes from over three decades of project work across California and the Southwest. Our experience has enabled us to develop our DProfiler cost estimating system, which provides reliable construction costs from the onset. With the right expertise and tools, we have completed multiple courtrooms, judges’ chambers, administrative spaces, conference rooms, libraries, in-custody detention areas and state-of-the-art systems for security, access control and video surveillance.

SUSTAINABLE CONSTRUCTION

While security is a top priority, several of our projects have also raised the bar for architectural significance and modern design.

Many help local governments save on long-term operational costs through green building, and several have achieved LEED certification with the help of low-water-use fixtures and landscaping, thermal energy storage tanks, solar power, recycled and renewable materials and innovative features such as green roofs.
