On the anniversary of one of the darkest days in our nation’s history, a Sundt Construction crew took a photo that shows American resiliency in the face of adversity.

This Sept. 11, Construction Manager Greg Prester and his team were working at the GO 10 project in El Paso when they noticed an inspirational backdrop. Fifteen years to the day after the tragedy in New York, Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C., a large American flag flew proudly nearby as our team set girders on the transportation project.

“It just shows that we are relentless and will keep building America,” Greg said.

The crew was supposed to perform the work the previous day, but strong winds pushed the project back 24 hours. No one hesitated to return on a Sunday to finish the work.
