Sundt Expands Craft Training Team

TEMPE, Ariz. (Dec. 12, 2023) – Sundt Construction’s craft talent development team recently hired craft training instructors Odin Bartlett and Patrick McCarron.

“Odin and Patrick bring invaluable field experience to their new roles,” said Josue Ponce, Sundt’s craft training manager. “They will support our growing apprenticeship programs at Sundt’s new Center for Craft Excellence.”

Bartlett comes to Sundt with over 10 years of experience in welding and welding instruction. He completed the Welding AAS degree program at Central Arizona College and will teach Sundt’s pipefitting apprenticeship courses.

McCarron has 18 years of experience as a carpenter and foreman, six of which have been with Sundt. He completed Sundt’s carpentry registered apprenticeship and moved into a foreman role before becoming an instructor. McCarron will teach Sundt’s carpentry apprenticeship courses.

Sundt’s craft training and apprenticeship programs utilize nationally recognized curriculum from the National Center for Construction Education & Research (NCCER) for all of its training programs including heavy equipment operation, industrial carpentry, pipefitting, welding and ironworking. Sundt is certified NCCER as an Accredited Training Sponsor and Accredited Assessment Center.
