Sundt Transportation Hires Two in Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. (September 8, 2022) – Sundt Construction’s Transportation Group recently added Brian Van Vleet and Nathan Griggs to its Willamette Water Supply Program’s water treatment plant project.

“We are excited to work with Brian and Nathan,” said Ken Kubacki, Northwest area manager for Sundt’s Transportation Group. “Both have impressive experience, and we look forward to seeing what they will accomplish here at Sundt.”

Van Vleet brings over 20 years of industry experience to his role as a civil project manager. He will be responsible for the civil scope of the project. Throughout Van Vleet’s professional career, he has held numerous positions. He holds a bachelor’s degree in construction engineering management from Oregon State University.

Griggs joins the team as a civil project engineer with nine years of experience. He has worked with different types of projects and delivery methods across the United States. He has experience working in numerous roles, including grading and demo superintendent to equipment engineer. Griggs graduated from Boise State University with a bachelor’s degree in construction management.

Sundt has been building critical infrastructure across the Western United States for 132 years. In 2016, the company completed the award-winning Sellwood Bridge in Portland and was recently awarded the Interstate-5 Rose Quarter improvement project in northeast Portland and the Boeckman Road Corridor project in Wilsonville, Ore. The company is building the Willamette Water Supply Program’s water treatment plant in southwest Portland.
