 |  Press Release, Sundt Foundation

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (February 22, 2022) – The Sundt Foundation awarded a total of $12,000 to three nonprofits in Northern California during its current giving round. The Center for Employment Opportunities, Associated General Contractors (AGC) of California’s Construction Education Foundation and Sacramento Loaves & Fishes each received a $4,000 grant.

“Each of these organizations is very deserving of a grant,” said Madison Jones, the Sundt Foundation President and Sacramento region board member. “We can’t wait to continue to watch the impressive impacts they make. Making a difference is one of our top priorities at Sundt, and it makes me and all of our employee-owners extremely proud to be a part of this company.”

The Center for Employment Opportunities provides comprehensive employment services to those who have returned home from incarceration. The nonprofit will use its grant to help fill the gap between the time their participants leave their services and when they receive their first paycheck.

The AGC of California’s Construction Education Foundation increases awareness regarding the construction industry and looks to develop construction careers in underrepresented people and disadvantaged children and adults. The foundation will use its grant to raise awareness through social media, its Build CA e-Academy and its new e-Academy.

Sacramento Loaves & Fishes is the largest homeless provider in the area. They provide food, supplies and services to nearly 1,000 children and adults every day. The organization will use its grant to fund its private emergency school for homeless children called the Mustard Seed School.

The Sundt Foundation awards quarterly grants to local Sacramento-area charities that support disadvantaged children and families. Nonprofits are selected through an application process and reviewed by a committee of local Sundt employee-owners.
