SAN DIEGO, Calif. (October 30, 2020) – Max Graeber has joined Sundt Construction, Inc. as a field engineer in its San Diego office. Graeber will be assigned to the Sundt team constructing the new support facilities for the San Diego International Airport (SDIA).

“Max brings a diverse skill set to our group with his background in structural engineering,” said Ryan Nessen, Sundt’s Senior Vice President and California District Manager for the Building Group. “It is clear he shares the passion for building, and we’re looking forward to welcoming him to the team.”

Prior to joining Sundt, Graeber served as a field engineer intern. He coordinated and managed concrete deck layouts on multiple residential housing units, prepared and tracked submittals to architects and project owners and created lift drawings to help skilled tradespeople build control layout. Graeber earned his bachelor’s degree in structural engineering from the University of California, San Diego.

“Sundt gave me a general sense of well-being when I envisioned working for them,” said Graeber. “At the end of the day, it’s the people that matter, and I felt that Sundt has quality people and takes care of its employees.”

For over 70 years, Sundt has delivered diverse projects throughout California. The company is nearing completion of SDIA’s support facilities, Sundt’s third project at the airport. The design-build project includes constructing four new buildings and a 3.2-million-gallon underground stormwater containment cistern, constructed by Sundt’s own highly skilled concrete crews.
