SAN DIEGO, Calif. (August 13, 2020) – The Sundt Foundation awarded $15,500 in grants to four San Diego nonprofits during its third-quarter disbursements.

“The San Diego employees are very passionate about giving back to their local community,” said Ryan Nessen, the Sundt Foundation’s San Diego region board member. “Each of the organizations we funded this quarter truly makes a difference within the San Diego region.”

Third-quarter grants include:

America’s Mighty Warriors, which received $6,000, supports troops, the fallen and their families by providing programs that assist with recovery and quality of life.

Angels Foster Family Network received $4,000 to provide safe and stable homes for infants and toddlers in foster care.

Autism Society of San Diego also received $4,000 to support its Pool PALS-Adaptive swimming lessons program, which provides lessons to autistic children helping them learn water safety and prevent drowning.

San Diego Humane Society received $1,500 for its PAWS program, which provides resources for homebound, low-income seniors struggling to care for their pets. PAWS delivers pet food, cat litter and other pet supplies, financial assistance and transportation for veterinary care and dog walking.

The Sundt Foundation awards quarterly grants to San Diego-area charities that support disadvantaged children and families. Nonprofits are selected through an application process and reviewed by a committee of Sundt employee-owners.
