SAN ANTONIO (December 11, 2019) – The Sundt Foundation awarded a total of $13,200 in grants to four area nonprofits during its fourth-quarter disbursements.sundt foundation presents a check to the university of texas foundation

“The Sundt Foundation has been busy giving back to the San Antonio community,” said Terri Pasley, the Sundt Foundation’s San Antonio region board member. “We held our annual Mike Gaines charity golf tournament, a food drive, assisted with a Habitat for Humanity house for an elderly couple, and provided grant funding to local charities. For our local efforts, we were recognized by the San Antonio Business Journal with their Corporate Philanthropy Award.”

The Sundt Foundation awards grants each quarter to area charities that support disadvantaged children and families. Nonprofits are selected through an application process and reviewed by a committee of Sundt employee-owners.

Fourth-quarter grants of $3,300 were equally divided among the following organizations:

The Northside Education Foundation received a grant to support their Construction Careers Academy, which offers disadvantaged students the opportunity to earn construction industry credentials.

The University of Texas Foundation assists students whose lack of funds may compromise their ability to attend classes, maintain employment or obtain safe and stable housing.

San Antonio Pets Alive provides senior citizens, who may not have the chance to own a pet, with animals that contribute to their physical and mental health.

TEAMability works in collaboration with communities and families to give children with complex disabilities opportunities to achieve their potential through long-term specialized services and programs.
