Sundt’s employee-owners are committed to wellness, recently earning our company a healthy number of honors.
We recently received the Cancer Gold Standard accreditation from the CEO Roundtable on Cancer, a nonprofit organization that works with companies that meet specific requirements in their endeavors to reduce cancer-causing risks across the board. We have earned the accreditation every year since 2011.
This spring, we were recognized by the Sacramento Business Journal and the Phoenix Business Journal as being among the healthiest medium-sized businesses in those communities.
Among the reasons we were chosen was our recent transition to a results-based wellness program. Our employee-owners receive a 30 percent discount on their health premiums by participating in biometrics screenings. Last year, 83 percent of our plan participants took part in the program, which includes tests that measure vital health numbers.
We also offer up to $350 each for employee-owners and their spouse or domestic partner to use toward wellness purchases. Those incentives can be spent on gym memberships, running shoes, exercise equipment and other fitness-related items.
