Sundt Construction Promotes Ann Poppen To Preconstruction Manager

SAN JOSÉ, Calif. (April 29, 2014) – Sundt Construction, Inc. (www.sundt.com) promoted Ann Poppen to preconstruction manager for the California District, effective May 1.

Poppen joined Sundt in December 2013 as a preconstruction project manager on the San José State University Campus Village Phase II student housing project before being promoted to her new position. As preconstruction manager overseeing the entire California District, Poppen is responsible for providing leadership and supervision to project teams, which includes establishing and communicating performance expectations, providing constructive feedback, determining training and development needs, conducting on-the-job training and making personnel decisions. She will contribute to managing the district’s profitability, risk management and personnel development.

“Ann’s more than 20 years of experience in the California construction industry represents a level of institutional knowledge that will be valuable to Sundt as we continue to expand throughout the state,” said Cody Pearson, Sundt senior vice president and California District manager.

Preceding her work at Sundt, Poppen was a preconstruction executive on the San Diego Central Courthouse project, and has extensive knowledge in judicial, educational and private market projects. She has enjoyed a long career as a project superintendent, project manager and project executive.
