Participation in Bluebeam Case Study Improves University Construction Project While Furthering Industry Knowledge

The project’s state-of-the-art bowling alley, called Aztec Lanes, contains complicated AV systems that were simplified through the use of Bluebeam Revu.

While constructing the new Aztec Student Union at San Diego State University, Sundt was approached by Bluebeam, developer of Bluebeam Software, to participate in a case study demonstrating the use of one of its products: Bluebeam Revu. The results, published on Bluebeam’s case study webpage, show how Sundt used the technology to simplify and successfully manage the complicated punch process for the $75 million university construction project.

The team used Revu to manage several of the project’s more complex areas, such as the state-of-the-art bowling alley, called Aztec Lanes, and the 1,200-person grand ballroom.

“With amazing vaulted ceilings and complex finishes associated with the construction, it really helped that we had Bluebeam in order to track deficiencies and ensure accuracy when illustrating locations and responsibilities of our punch list items,” Daughtrey explained.
