Sundt board chairman and former CEO J. Doug Pruitt has been honored by his alma mater, Oklahoma State University-Oklahoma City (OSU-OKC), with a suite named after him. The university also named him its Hall of Fame honoree.

Doug is a distinguished alumnus and donor to the university, and the first college graduate in his family. He received an associate’s degree in Civil Technology from OSU-OKC in 1966 and, after graduating, worked as a draftsman and on a surveying crew in Oklahoma City. Soon after, he transferred to a  construction project in Arizona and shortly thereafter began working for Sundt, where he rose through the ranks during his 45-year career to eventually become Chairman and CEO. He retired in 2011 and now serves as Chairman of Sundt’s Board of Directors.

Doug is a founding member of the Construction Industry Ethics and Compliance Initiative, was awarded the Phoenix Valley’s Most Admired CEO’s Lifetime Achievement Award and was inducted into the Ernst & Young Hall of Fame. He and his wife, Rebecca, provide an endowed scholarship fund for OSU-OKC students.
