SAN ANTONIO (September 18, 2018) – Sundt Construction, Inc. (www.sundt.com) climbed seven spots to No. 59 on Engineering News Record’s (ENR) Texas & Louisiana Top Contractors list. ENR, the construction industry’s principal trade publication, creates its regional list based on the past year’s construction revenue.
“Our ranking is reflective of our success in Texas,” said Eric Hedlund, Sundt’s Senior Vice President and Texas District Manager for the company’s Building Group. “Sundt has been performing a variety of transportation, industrial, building and concrete projects over the past 50 years and we are pleased to continue to grow and create prosperity across the state.”
With offices in Fort Worth, San Antonio and El Paso, Sundt reported regional construction revenue of more than $223 million during 2017. The company, which also performs work in Arizona and California, ranks No. 1 on ENR’s Southwest list and No. 45 on the California list.
Currently the company is working on several projects in the Lone Star state. Sundt is renovating the CPS Energy Headquarters building in downtown San Antonio and building the new Hilton Canopy San Antonio along the River Walk. In Wichita Falls, the company is working with Trinity Hughes on the Midwestern State University Health Sciences & Human Sciences Building. Sundt will complete the the Wilson Creek Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant in Allen, Texas in 2019. Across the state in El Paso, Sundt is upgrading infrastructure on parts of the I-10 on El Paso’s west side.
In May, Sundt finished the first phase of the San Pedro Creek Improvement Project in San Antonio, a 1.3-mile reconstruction of the existing San Pedro Creek into a world-class linear park. The project is a joint venture with Davila Construction. The project won ENR Texas & Louisiana’s Best Project for landscape.
Nationally, Sundt ranks No. 65 on ENR’s Top 400 2018 Contractors list. Sundt also ranked No. 40 nationally on the publication’s Top 100 Contractors by New Contracts list, and No. 48 on ENR’s national list of Top 100 Construction Management-at-Risk Firms.
