Sundt Construction Hires Project Engineer for California District

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Nov. 5, 2013) – Scott Gurley recently joined Sundt Construction, Inc. (www.sundt.com) as project engineer for the contractor’s California District.

Gurley will immediately begin working on the Maple Street Correctional Center in San Mateo. His strong background in Building Information Modeling (BIM) will help the San Mateo team to continue identifying constructability issues early in the project.

In his role, Gurley will be responsible for establishing and maintaining effective and professional working relationships with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers, as well as overseeing project procurement, forecasting, contracts, scheduling and estimating.

Prior to joining Sundt, Gurley worked as the virtual construction engineer on the $81-million Center for Science and Mathematics at California State University, San Luis Obispo. Gurley holds a Bachelor of Science degree in construction management from Arizona State University.
