Sundt and UGB will construct the new Special Operating Forces Group Support Battalion facility at Fort Campbell.

Sundt has been selected for its third project at Fort Campbell, Kentucky in less than two years. The Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville District recently announced that Sundt and joint venture partner UGB will be the general contractors for a new, $22 million Special Operating Forces Group Support Battalion facility at the army installation.

The 104,000-square-foot, two-story design-build project will provide the Army’s Special Forces with training and operations space to support the needs of five active duty companies stationed at Fort Campbell.

Sundt completed its first project at Fort Campbell, an unaccompanied enlisted personnel housing (UEPH) barracks, on time and within budget, earning it a coveted position among the Corps of Engineers’ general contractors of choice. We were awarded another barracks project on site last March.

Fort Campbell, located on the Tennessee-Kentucky state line, is a 106,700-acre U.S. Army installation that is the home of the world’s only air assault division, the 101st Airborne Division.
