EL PASO, Texas (April 2, 2024) – The Sundt Foundation recently awarded $20,000 in grants to four El Paso nonprofit organizations focused on assisting disadvantaged children.

“We’re thrilled to be able to support the missions of these essential organizations,” said Joseph Riccillo, Sundt Foundation board member for the El Paso area. “These organizations serve our community’s children with basic needs and educational opportunities.”

A grant of $5,000 was given to El Paso’s Miracle League Inc., whose programs provide children with mental and/or physical challenges an opportunity to play baseball as a team member in an organized league.

Harmony Public Schools received a grant of $5,000 to ensure students in underserved communities have access to essential technology relevant to STEM education. Harmony’s curriculum offers the opportunity for students to master challenging academic concepts and advanced problem-solving skills.

CASA of El Paso, Inc. trains and supports individuals to advocate for abused and neglected children who need representation in the family court system, striving to provide them a safe and permanent home. The organization received $5,000 to support its essential services.

Children at Risk is a research and advocacy nonprofit improving the quality of life for Texas’ children. A $5,000 grant will be used to strengthen family voice in the organization’s Prenatal-3 Collaborative through regular engagement with a diverse group of families in El Paso.

Sundt Foundation grants are awarded on a quarterly basis. Nonprofits are selected through an application and review process by a committee of local Sundt employee-owners.
