Sundt gives $5,000 check to Family Counseling Services of Northwest Utah

Salt Lake City, Utah (July 11, 2023) – The Sundt Foundation recently awarded $12,500 in grants to three Salt Lake City charities.

“Our employee-owners are thrilled to support the missions of these nonprofits,” said Jasen Bennie, the Sundt Foundation’s Salt Lake City region board member. “We are inspired by the work they do to serve our community.”

This quarter, Needs Beyond Medicine and Family Counseling Service of Northern Utah received $5,000 each to support their essential services. The Road Home received $2,500.

Needs Beyond Medicine’s main program is the Relief Program, which helps support current cancer patients with essential living needs. The program offers financial grants to Utah residents over 18 years old currently in cancer treatment.

Family Counseling Service of Northern Utah is dedicated to improving the quality of life for Northern Utah residents by providing affordable mental health counseling to individuals, couples and families, regardless of income.

The Road Home’s Emergency Shelter and Resource Center Program provides services to vulnerable families with children experiencing homelessness. Their services provide temporary refuge and connect families to resources to help them get back on their feet.

The Sundt Foundation awards quarterly grants to local Salt Lake City charities that support disadvantaged members of the community. Nonprofits are selected through an application and review process led by a committee of local Sundt employee-owners.
