The funds will support three organizations offering services to disadvantaged families.

Dallas, Texas (June 27, 2023) – The Sundt Foundation recently awarded $13,000 in grants to North Texas nonprofits.

“These grants support disadvantaged individuals in our North Texas communities,” said Barbara Terry, the Sundt Foundation’s North Texas region board member. “Our employee-owners are proud to support the missions of these organizations.”

Fort Worth charity Christian Community Storehouse of Keller received $3,000 to assist children in low-income families facing food insecurity. The organization partners with local schools to provide child-friendly, healthy food in an effort to prevent hunger on weekends and during the summer months.

Tarrant County Samaritan Housing, Inc., a nonprofit that focuses on sustainable housing for families and single adults facing homelessness, was awarded $5,000. The grant will sustain their existing programs, which ensures 90% of their clients maintain housing for one year while they build a long-term, self-sufficient life.

Mission Central, a nonprofit based in Hurst, Texas, was awarded a $5,000 grant to support their Village Library programs. These programs aim to improve the academic performance of students who are at risk of failing.

The Sundt Foundation awards quarterly grants to North Texas charities supporting disadvantaged children and families. Nonprofits are selected through an application and review process led by a committee of local Sundt employee-owners.
