“We are delighted to award these three organizations their grants,” said Madison Jones, the Sundt Foundation President and Northern California region board member. “We are all looking forward to seeing the great changes that will take place because of their work.”

The Firefighters Burn Institute will use its grant to provide support, resources, and recovery programs, supporting burn treatment and rehabilitation, and providing fire and burn education.

With its grant, Jacob’s Heart Children’s Cancer Support Services will continue to provide family-centered care, addressing the emotional, practical and financial struggles for families of children and teens during treatment.

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sacramento will use its grant to continue constructing, rehabilitating and preserving homes, advocating for fair housing policies, and providing training and access to resources to help families improve their shelter conditions.

The Sundt Foundation awards quarterly grants to local Sacramento-area and Bay area charities that support disadvantaged children and families. Nonprofits are selected through an application and review process led by a committee of local Sundt employee-owners.
