Sundt Construction Expands Its San Diego Team

SAN DIEGO, Calif. (Oct. 3, 2014) – Sundt Construction, Inc. (www.sundt.com) recently added Jon Tjandra, senior project engineer, Michelle Luce, senior scheduling engineer, and Lucas Brown, safety representative, to its San Diego office. Each new team member joins the R.J. Donovan Correctional Complex project in Otay Mesa, California.

Tjandra comes to Sundt with more than 10 years of experience managing large-scale projects from inception to completion throughout California. Notable projects he has worked on include the $100 million 705 W. Ninth Street luxury residential tower in Los Angeles, California, and the $40 million Disney GC3 Phase I office buildings in Glendale, California. In his role with Sundt, Tjandra is the team’s technical source of information, providing expertise in construction engineering technology, codes and standards.

Luce, who previously worked for Sundt from 2004 to 2005, brings more than 10 years of experience as a project scheduler, two of which she spent in a senior position for the $1.4 billion Wynn Encore at Las Vegas Phase II project in Las Vegas, Nevada. In her current role, Luce is responsible for developing and maintaining resource and cost-loaded construction schedules, as well as training other schedulers and maintaining consistent procedures.

Brown, with more than eight years of combined experience as an EMT and a paramedic, brings a high-level of patient care to the project team. He also offers a diverse range of emergency medical skills, which he obtained while working for the highly regarded Rural/Metro San Diego, a division of Rural/Metro Ambulance. As safety representative, he helps manage the day-to-day safety of team members, as well as ensures all project procedures are in line with proper health and safety protocol.
