INNOVATING TOGETHER

Our success in solving clients’ toughest challenges begins with a team-based approach.

We maintain longstanding, collaborative relationships with owners, designers, and community members to ensure we find the best solutions for each project. Whether solving major logistical challenges in accelerated bridge construction or converting a half-mile-long drainage ditch into a world-class linear park, our people thrive on pioneering new approaches to meet stakeholder needs.

Also, our in-house virtual design and construction (VDC) and self-perform work in key trades enable us to implement creative solutions while maintaining control over critical-path scopes. This provides cost certainty and predictable outcomes in safety and quality, meeting the owner’s vision even on fast-track schedules.

SUSTAINABLE BY DESIGN

Early involvement builds our holistic understanding of systems and stakeholders

Green buildings and infrastructure require a shared vision that sees every system as well as how those systems interact. By establishing that vision—and assigning responsibility—early in preconstruction, we can cut waste and use more sustainable methods and materials over the entire project. Also, by empowering and linking up key front-line people earlier in the process, we have the space to form innovative ideas and scale them up sooner.

LOCALLY FOCUSED

From local workforce development to sourcing local materials, to supporting area nonprofits, we work to build prosperity for communities.

With each project, we’re demonstrating our commitment to grow a highly skilled, diverse workforce. Sundt maximizes opportunities for local disadvantaged businesses, larger specialized contractors, and individuals who want to begin a career in construction. Also, both our in-house training and community college partner-based workforce development programs have earned national recognition as models for growing the skilled trades.

GIVING BACK

Since its founding in 1999, the Sundt Foundation has reflected our employee-owners’ passion for giving back to the places where we live and work.

The Sundt Foundation, which is funded primarily by contributions from Sundt employee-owners that are matched by the company, has awarded more than $130,000 to nonprofits in the Northwest region so far. With these funds, Sundt has been able to do things like expand arts education, provide mentoring and mental health resources to the community, and support disadvantaged groups like veterans, refugees, foster children, and more in the region.
