Texas
Sundt has been a Texas contractor for more than 40 years, with $1 billion worth of construction projects in the Lone Star state. Some people are familiar with one of our landmark projects in downtown Dallas, the spectacular Reunion Tower. The company built the structure's concrete core using an innovative technique called slipforming. Over the years Sundt has also built office buildings, large hotels, schools, treatment plants and facilities for the U.S. military and the Department of Homeland Security. One of the company's national award winning projects was the new runway, taxiway and apron airfield facilities at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.
San Antonio is the seventh largest city in the nation, with a population of two million people in the metropolitan area. While traditionally known for its tourism/convention business and large military presence, San Antonio has one of the most robust economies in the country. Texas history begins in San Antonio at the doorstep of the Alamo. The city also boasts other historic missions, cultural festivals and recreational activities such as the River Walk, SeaWorld, the San Antonio Spurs and the new PGA tour destination resort. San Antonio was also recently named one of the top 10 cities for college graduates by Livability.com.
El Paso is Sundt's hub for West Texas project work for public agencies and private owners alike. It is located at the confluence of Texas, New Mexico and Mexico. The city reflects influence from Native American, Mexican and old west culture. It is the sixth largest city in Texas with a population of over 800,000 in the metropolitan area. It's home to the second oldest annual college bowl game, the Sun Bowl. The city also offers numerous cultural organizations and festivals, regional cuisine and outdoor activities.
