El Pasoan Re-Appointed to Texas Governor’s Commission

EL PASO, Texas. (May 12, 2026) – Angelica Rosales, Texas director of development for Sundt Construction and native El Pasoan, was recently re-appointed to Gov. Greg Abbott’s Governor’s Commission for Women.

The appointment represents Rosales’ second term on the commission. Gov. Abbott has charged the commission with developing a strategy and implementation plan for making Texas the No. 1 state for women-owned businesses and address human trafficking. In addition, the commission supports the foster and adoption outreach programs of the Heart Gallery.

Rosales brings over 25 years of expertise in management and business development. She serves as a director in The Texas Lyceum and sits on the governing board of The Hospitals of Providence East Campus. She also is vice chair of the Heart Gallery of El Paso and sits on the Council of Advisors for The Borderplex Alliance and the Regional Development Council for Make-A-Wish North Texas. Rosales is a Hunt Aspen Fellow. She was recognized as a Woman of Impact by the El Paso Inc. in 2020 and a Woman of Distinction by the Texas Association of Mexican American Chambers of Commerce in 2023. She started three El Paso nonprofits supporting women and children.
