Project Overview
Sundt delivered PHX05, a 161,000-square-foot co-location data center in Phoenix, Arizona, providing 24MW of capacity across six data halls, with 12MW of day-one MEP infrastructure. Built on an active urban campus, the project required careful phasing, careful logistics planning and disciplined coordination to maintain ongoing operations while delivering mission-critical scope.
Midway through construction, the project transitioned to meet ICD 705 standards for SCIF-level secure construction, introducing specialized security requirements, complex assemblies and rigorous inspection protocols. Sundt led coordination among trade partners, designers and reviewers to align constructability and maintain progress.
Sundt’s self-perform concrete team played a key role in execution, casting and erecting 141 tilt-up panels on a constrained site with limited laydown space and demanding sequencing requirements. Despite evolving conditions and site restrictions, the team maintained schedule certainly through strong field execution, coordination and problem solving.
