Project Overview
The client is a global leader in sustainable chemical solutions for water intensive industries and has 36 facilities across the United States. The project involves expansion of an existing chemical facility in Augusta, Georgia with fabrication and installation of filter structure including block electrical room, process equipment installation, structural steel, siding, pipe rack, foundations, site work, stormwater conveyance piping, process piping, and electrical and instrumentation.
The project consisted of multiple tie-ins to the existing facility with 7,500 feet of piping (4000 feet being titanium), 500 cubic feet of concrete, 30,000-foot cable, 150 field instruments and 70 tons of steel. All schedule milestones were achieved on time and the project team reached Mechanical Completion two weeks ahead of schedule. This successful project has introduced Sundt to a new global client and bolstered our resume in the process chemical market.
