Sarah Owen

Southwest District Business Development Manager

Sarah Owen is the District Business Development Manager for Sundt Construction’s Southwest Building Group, where she leads strategic growth initiatives and client partnerships across Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas. A graduate of the University of Arizona’s Honors College, Sarah earned her Bachelor of Science in Business summa cum laude before building a career rooted in connection, community, and leadership.
Her professional journey began in the entertainment and nonprofit sectors—with roles at LiveNation and the American Cancer Society—before she found her calling in the construction industry. Joining Sundt eight years ago, Sarah quickly established herself as a dynamic leader, helping position the company as a trusted partner in emerging markets such as advanced manufacturing, data centers, and aviation.
Beyond her role at Sundt, Sarah is deeply committed to community impact. She co-founded The Big Dig for Kids, a signature event benefiting Phoenix Children’s that has raised over $3.9 million since 2016. She also serves as Chair of the Urban Land Institute Arizona’s Young Leaders Group, mentoring hundreds of young professionals and fostering cross-industry collaboration.
Recognized as one of the Phoenix Business Journal’s 40 Under 40, Sarah is celebrated for her blend of strategic vision, authentic leadership, and passion for empowering others.

The Big Dig for Kids, presented by Sundt Construction, is the most magical day of the year for me. Watching the kiddos from Phoenix Children’s Hospital and their siblings marvel over the construction equipment is a sight to see.
