Ryan Holloway

Project Director

Ryan joined Sundt in 2018 and has been in the construction industry since 2006. As the project director, he plays an advisory role in oversight, problem resolution, resource dedication, and coordination and communication throughout the duration of the project. He brings a wealth of experience managing complex infrastructure projects, particularly in Texas, and has led the design and construction of projects totaling over $1.3 billion. His proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams, manage complex design-build efforts, and develop value-engineering strategies helps drive project success.

Ryan has led multiple successful construction manager at risk (CMAR) and Progressive Design-Build pursuits for Sundt, which has contributed to establishing the company as a premier alternate delivery contractor in Texas. His background includes extensive work on complex transportation projects such as 183 North Mobility Project in Austin, Texas, the I-85 Reconstruction and Widening in South Carolina, the I-40/440 Fortify in North Carolina and the PA Rapid Bridge Replacement in Pennsylvania.
Ryan has a Bachelor of Science in engineering management from The University of Arizona and is a registered Professional Engineer.

Tell us about your favorite Sundt project.

The PL19 Long Tunnel Project stands out as my favorite for several reasons. The project scope was truly unique, diverging from the traditional work we’re accustomed to and presented an exciting challenge. What made it even more special was the innovative procurement process, which included a collaboration phase that allowed us to work closely with the owner, directly influencing the design and procurement strategies. Witnessing the project’s ongoing success during execution has been incredibly rewarding.

Why did you choose to work in the construction industry?

I chose to work in the construction industry because, from a young age, I was fascinated by building bridges—both literal and figurative. Construction allows me to create real, lasting connections while empowering the group around me.

Share a couple of your favorite hobbies.

In my free time, I love spending quality moments with my family, especially with my three young boys. Whether it’s enjoying the outdoors or simply being together, family time is a priority for me. I also appreciate the chance to unwind and recharge through activities like golfing whenever I get the opportunity to hit the course.
