Ping Liu

Regional Business Development Manager

Ping Liu brings more than 20 years of business development and marketing experience in the AEC industry to her role as regional business development manager. She currently leads business development efforts across Washington and Oregon.

Her experience includes capture planning and major pursuits across transportation, transit, water and wastewater, water resources and industrial facilities serving state, local and federal agencies. Prior to joining Sundt, Ping led business development and pursuit efforts for Flatiron and Shimmick Construction.

Ping holds a bachelor’s degree in communication from the University of Washington and a master’s degree in public administration from Seattle University. She is an active member of WTS Puget Sound, NAWIC Puget Sound and COMTO Puget Sound.

Why did you choose to work in the construction industry?

Before transitioning to the construction industry, I spent 17 years as a proposal manager at WSP. Working alongside contractors on design-build pursuits gave me a front-row seat to how GCs operate — and ultimately convinced me that’s where I needed to be. I have a deep respect for contractors’ ability to make high-stakes decisions quickly and strategically.

Share a couple of your favorite hobbies.

I’m a total yogi and have considered getting certified as an instructor.

Paris.
