Tell us about your favorite KAPBCS moment.

In the Spring of 2024, I had the chance to combine my professional and personal lives when I connected the Girl Scouts with Sundt’s Craft Workforce Development team.  The result was an event where over 150 Girl Scouts from kindergarten through high school part in age-appropriate activities around carpentry, welding, pipefitting, innovation and heavy equipment operation.  I was so impressed with the professionalism and kindness Sundt’s instructors showed for the girls.  Equally, I was impressed with the collaboration my wife and daughter brought to the event from the Girl Scouts side.  This was a highly successful event that exemplifies the partnerships we need to achieve our mission of being the “Most Skilled Builder in America.”

As someone who is interested in public policy and history, as we kicked off Sundt’s government relations efforts in Arizona, I was delighted to discover that Sundt built the Executive Tower at the Arizona State Capitol.  The tower currently houses the Governor’s office, the Secretary of Stater’s office and other executive branch leaders of Arizona.  The project was an important win at the time as it helped establish our presence in the Phoenix area since branching out from our headquarters at the time in Tucson.
