Tell us about your favorite Sundt project.

A large water treatment and reclamation project built for a semiconductor manufacturer is my favorite Sundt project. Sundt delivered this first-of-a-kind in the U.S. project successfully enough to be chosen for two subsequent expansion projects. This project has successfully treated semiconductor wastewater to high enough quality standards to be reused in industrial and soft water systems back on the semiconductor campus all while keeping the owner’s wastewater discharge compliant.

If you could have any superpower, what would you choose and why?

If I could have any superpower, it would be time travel! Going back to see how different approaches to any situation could play out would be very exciting. It’s dizzying to consider the implications of having this ability, but it would be exciting as well.

Share a couple of your favorite hobbies.

I enjoy fixing/building almost anything mechanical. My kids and I have built our own go kart and trail bike through cutting, machining, welding, and more. With friends I have also built a downhill racer out of an old water heater to race in the Portland Adult Soapbox derby and won this race getting to over 46 mph!

What is your favorite place in the world?

My favorite place in the world is a family homestead farm in western Montana that’s more than 100 years old. I was born in Montana and grew up going to and working on our family’s farm. I always enjoy going back “home” to where the sky truly seems to be bigger than elsewhere.
