Bob Alger brings nearly two decades of experience in the construction industry to his role as project director, driving the expansion of Sundt’s Transportation Group into the Southeast region. In his current role, he offers strategic oversight, leadership and team management, stakeholder relations and analyzing project risk, compliance, and quality. Much of his career, he has focused on national pursuits.

Bob began his career with summer jobs and internships before graduating with a Bachelor of Science from Purdue University. He possesses a Master of Business Administration from The George Washington University and a Master of Studies in Law from the University of Southern California. While advocating on behalf of the construction industry, Bob served as a representative to the National Conference of State Legislators’ Transportation Committee PPP Working Group, a member of the Allegheny Conference on Community Development’s Transportation & Infrastructure Committee, an inaugural member of the Associated Pennsylvania Constructors’ PPP Committee, a director on the Metropolitan Washington Road & Transportation Builders Association’s Advisory Committee, and the northeastern vice-chair for the American Road & Transportation Builders Association’s Industry Leader Development Program.

Along with participation in the Sundt Foundation, Bob’s community focus includes membership in the Columbus Citizens Foundation, the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, and a former Scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts of America.
