Serving as project director for Sundt’s new critical support facilities—the Equipment Services and Operations Supply Center, and the G. Michael Hoover KAPBCS Training Center—has been a career highlight. These award-winning projects have strengthened Sundt’s leadership in workforce development, enhancing the skills of our most valuable resource: people.
Why did you choose to work in the construction industry?
As a kid, I couldn’t resist sneaking into a half-built apartment complex, fascinated by how a massive structure came together piece by piece. That curiosity led me to become an architect, but after spending summers doing framing work, I realized my real passion wasn’t just in the design—it was in bringing it to life. Great design is only meaningful if it can be built, and that’s why I’m at Sundt—where vision meets execution.

I’m a skier. I golf. I love watching my boys play baseball. At my core, I’m always creating, and when time allows, I take on major construction projects at home. But in the grand scheme of things? I’d be just as happy sitting on a beach, drinking a pina colada out of a coconut.
