Phoenix, Ariz. (September 25, 2026) – Sundt Construction is expanding its aviation team by welcoming Vincent Castillo as project director and Nina Fernandez as business development representative to strengthen aviation pursuits and project delivery across the region.
At Sundt, Castillo drives strategic growth and provides operational leadership to support the company’s goal of becoming a nationally recognized Top 10 aviation builder by 2030. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from San Diego State University, along with CM LEAN, LEED AP and CPC credentials.
His 25yrs of experience spans project engineering and superintendent roles, to project manager and project executive, leading over $400 million dollars of work.
Fernandez leads business development for Sundt’s Southwest Building Group, advancing aviation growth across the region. She builds strategic relationships with industry partners, design firms, airports, and local communities while positioning Sundt for key pursuits.
Before joining Sundt, Fernandez worked in business development and project management within the commercial real estate and construction industries. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Arizona’s Eller College of Management.
Castillo is involved with the Arizona Airports Association (AzAA), Southwest Chapter of the American Association of Airport Executives (SWAAAE), National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) and American Institute of Constructors (AIC). Fernandez is involved with the Urban Land Institute (ULI), AzAA, SWAAAE and Commercial Real Estate Development Association (CREDA).
