
Tempe, Ariz. (July 13, 2026) – Sundt Construction recently promoted Zachary Young to senior project manager for its Water & Wastewater Group in the Southwest region.
Young is leading the Cave Creek Water Reclamation Plant Rehabilitation project, helping deliver the City of Phoenix’s first advanced water purification facility. The project is a significant step toward the city’s future direct potable reuse program and broader long-term water sustainability efforts.

Throughout his career, Young has supported major water infrastructure projects for municipal water agencies. His experience includes work on the $730 million San Francisco Public Utilities Commission Headworks Project in California, the North Texas Municipal Water District Wilson Creek Expansion Project in Texas, and multiple projects for Pima County and Tucson Water.
In addition to his project responsibilities, Young is an active member of the Arizona Water Association, building relationships with other regional water professionals. Young holds a Bachelor of Science in construction management from Eastern Kentucky University.
