AUSTIN, Texas. (September 15, 2026) – The Sundt Foundation recently awarded $32,000 in grants to six nonprofit organizations serving communities across Central Texas.
Grant recipients include Austin Dog Alliance, Austin Pets Alive!, Bihl Haus Arts, Inc., Children Matter the Most Family Life Center, Elf Louise, Inc. and Mobile Loaves & Fishes, Inc.
“These grants reflect the wide range of needs local nonprofits are meeting across Austin and San Antonio,” said Darren Okruhlik, Sundt area manager and Sundt Foundation regional representative. “We’re proud to support organizations that are improving lives through direct services, crisis support, arts programming, animal welfare and community outreach.”
Three nonprofits in Austin received a total of $16,000 in grants. Austin Dog Alliance received $5,000 to support service and therapy dog programs for veterans, students, seniors and other community members. Austin Pets Alive! was awarded $6,000 to advance lifesaving adoption and foster programs for animals at risk of euthanasia. Mobile Loaves & Fishes received $5,000 to provide food, clothing, housing and other resources for people experiencing homelessness.
Three grants were awarded in the San Antonio area. Bihl Haus Arts, Inc. received $5,000 for free arts programming for older adults, veterans and neurodivergent adults. Children Matter the Most Family Life Center was awarded $6,000 to provide resources and support for children and families in crisis. Elf Louise, Inc. received $5,000 to help deliver Christmas gifts to underserved children throughout Bexar County.
Sundt Foundation grants are awarded quarterly through an application review process, led by local employee-owners. Through the Sundt Foundation and other corporate giving efforts, Sundt has committed to donating $65 million to nonprofit organizations nationwide by 2035.
