Sundt Construction Adds Project Executive

TEMPE, Ariz. (March 3, 2026) – Richard Burkhead recently joined Sundt Construction as a project executive for its Building Group, Phoenix region.

Burkhead brings more than 25 years of experience in business leadership, operations management and program execution, supporting high-tech manufacturing facilities across domestic and international markets.

“Richard’s expertise in leading complex, technically demanding programs makes him a strong addition to our team,” said Josh Anderson, data centers market leader. “His ability to collaborate across disciplines and cultures will help support our clients and our continued growth in advanced technology markets.”

Throughout Burkhead’s career, he has led large-scale design-build programs, including facilities infrastructure upgrades and capital equipment installations while overseeing multidisciplinary teams. Most recently, he served as project executive and sponsor for the Arizona State University Applied Materials Macro Technology works project.

Burkhead is a member of Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International and the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering.
