Sundt Foundation Awards $19,000 to Intermountain Nonprofits

SALT LAKE CITY, (September 16, 2025) – The Sundt Foundation recently awarded grants to three nonprofit organizations serving vulnerable populations across the Intermountain region. Through these grants, the Sundt Foundation is helping provide safety, stability and support to individuals and families.

“Thanks to generous contributions from our employee-owners, we are pleased to recognize these three nonprofits for their efforts. Their work represents just a few of the causes that our Sundt Foundation members are passionate about supporting,” said Jasen Bennie, Sundt vice president, Intermountain regional manager and Sundt Foundation regional board member.

Ruff Haven received $5,000 to expand its crisis sheltering and veterinary support for veterans in Salt Lake City. Ruff Haven’s mission is to provide a temporary safe haven for companion animals in order to keep pets and their people together during times of crisis, increase pet retention and decrease the number of animals entering the shelter system. With Sundt’s support, Ruff Haven will help veterans access housing and healthcare without being forced to part with their pets, strengthening community stability and promoting healthier outcomes for both people and animals.

The Rape Recovery Center (RRC) in Salt Lake City was awarded $7,000 to continue its vital work of empowering survivors of sexual violence through advocacy, crisis intervention, therapy and education. Over the past five years, the center has seen a 150% increase in survivors seeking services. Often the first and only point of contact for survivors, the RRC is expanding services to reach underserved populations, including incarcerated and rural survivors, ensuring all who need help can access it.

In Idaho Falls, the Idaho Falls Rescue Mission, Inc. received $7,000 to provide safe shelter, meals and case management to individuals and families in crisis. The Rescue Mission helps stabilize lives, break cycles of poverty and addiction, and restore dignity. Beyond its shelters, the organization provides free case management to anyone seeking guidance, extending its impact throughout the community.

The Sundt Foundation grants reflect Sundt’s ongoing commitment to making a lasting difference in the communities where its employee-owners live and work. Grant applicants are reviewed each quarter and award recipients are selected by a committee of local employee-owners.
