Muscular Dystrophy Association Receives $70,000 From Sundt Foundation Charitable Golf Tournament

San Diego, CA (July 7, 2025) – Over 140 golfers raised $70,000 to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) at the Southern California Sundt Foundation Charity Golf Tournament, held at Twin Oaks Golf Course on June 20.

All funds raised from the tournament will support the MDA’s mission to support families, people living with muscular dystrophy, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and over 300 related neuromuscular conditions. MDA funds groundbreaking research, delivers critical care and provides essential resources.

“We’re grateful to our industry partners in Southern California for their ongoing support of the MDA. They come out and golf every year, demonstrating the power of community for a good cause,” said Emily Dwosh, Sundt Foundation executive director and Sundt community relations manager.

“Since MDA’s inception, our commitment has been to end ALS and related neuromuscular diseases through groundbreaking research, advancing multidisciplinary care, and advocacy. With the generous support of partners like Sundt Foundation, we are making progress every day toward innovative treatments and improved quality of life for people living with these conditions. We are grateful for the continued support that strengthens our community and our mission,” said Ruth Ann Dailey, chief development officer of the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

The Sundt Foundation’s annual sporting events have raised more than $3.9 million to date, supporting dozens of nonprofits in Sundt’s regional communities. The Foundation is funded by Sundt employee-owner contributions matched by the company and has awarded more than $17 million in grants since its founding.
