Sundt delivers check to Agua Hedionda

SAN DIEGO, Calif. (October 2, 2023) – The Sundt Foundation recently awarded $16,500 in grants to three nonprofits in the San Diego region.

“Our community nonprofits work tirelessly to improve the lives of so many individuals, and the Sundt Foundation is proud to support those efforts through our quarterly grants,” said Soula Wynne, Sundt Foundation San Diego region board member.

InLight Foundation received $10,000 to support its work in giving youth the mental resilience and emotional capacity to succeed. InLight provides education through social-emotional curriculum, in-person events and community outreach.

Agua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation was awarded a $5,000 grant to support its Academy of Environmental Stewardship Program (AES). This hands-on program provides students with science and environmental education, learning how they can help care for the environment and make sustainable choices. The Sundt Foundation grant will be used for San Diego students in Title I schools, expanding the number of students served and the number of visits per school site.

The San Diego Humane Society received $1,500 for its efforts to provide animal services for 13 cities within San Diego County. The San Diego Humane Society cares for more than 40,000 animals annually.

The Sundt Foundation awards quarterly grants to community nonprofits. Organizations are selected through an application and review process led by a committee of local Sundt employee-owners.
