Sundt-Tapani Awarded Corridor Improvement Project

 |  Civil & Transportation, Press Release

PORTLAND, Ore. (August 5, 2022) – Sundt Construction and its joint venture partner Tapani recently were awarded the City of Wilsonville’s $27 million progressive Design Build Boeckman Road Corridor Improvement project. The design team is led by KPFF Engineers.

“Our team is looking forward to working with Tapani and KPFF on this project,” said Ken Kubacki, Northwest area manager for Sundt’s Transportation Group. “This project will improve the surrounding community, environment and general safety of the area.”

The project is located in Wilsonville, Ore. and will include street, sewer and intersection improvements as well as the construction of a new bridge over Boeckman Creek.  The new bridge will upgrade the existing roadway, increase driver visibility and improve the passage for fish by removing the current culvert.

The project requires the construction of a one-half mile of a new sanitary sewer trunk line within Boeckman Road. The team will also upgrade the Canyon Creek-Boeckman Road intersection to improve safety and mitigate traffic congestion.

Sundt has been building critical infrastructure across the Western United States for 132 years. In 2016, the company completed the award-winning Sellwood Bridge in Portland and was recently awarded the Interstate-5 Rose Quarter improvement project in northeast Portland. The company is building the Willamette Water Supply Program’s water treatment plant in southwest Portland.
