SAN ANTONIO (February 2, 2022) – Sundt Construction has started work on a project to bring West Commerce Street, North Santa Rosa Street and North San Saba in line with the vision for Zona Cultural, a newly recognized historic district.
“Our team is very excited about beginning this project,” said Chad Yount, Texas area manager in Sundt’s Transportation Group. “It’s another chance for us to provide improvements to the City and bring together the people of San Antonio.”
The $30 million project includes utility upgrades for San Antonio Water System, CPS Energy’s natural gas lines, Spectrum Cable and a complete roadway rebuild. The rebuild includes concrete paving, widening sidewalks, landscaping and dedicated bike lanes. The project is expected to be completed in 2024.
In Texas, Sundt has 50 years and $3 billion of project experience, with offices in San Antonio, Dallas and El Paso. The company is currently working on the Innovation Center on the Port San Antonio campus, San Pedro Creek Improvements and the Broadway Street improvements in downtown San Antonio.
