Sundt Foundation: Building integrity. Building communities.

Walking near Tempe Town LakeSince it was founded over a century ago, Sundt has been dedicated to improving the communities where it operates. In 1999, we expanded this effort by creating the Sundt Foundation, a separate non-profit organization focused on the needs of disadvantaged children and adults. The Foundation receives most of its funding through employee contributions, which are matched by the company.

To date, we have provided more than $2.5 million in aid to community organizations in Arizona, California and Texas.

Since 2001, the Sundt Foundation has championed a special fundraising effort in memory of one of its employees. Mike Gaines was a member of the Sundt family for two decades before losing his battle with ALS, commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. These events, including golf tournaments and a trap shoot, have raised $475,648 to date, which has been given to the Muscular Dystrophy Association to fund ALS research.

We also support individual volunteer projects undertaken by our employees, including Habitat for Humanity efforts as well as team walks for various worthy organizations.
