Tell us about your favorite Sundt project. My favorite Sundt project is a confidential project in Texas.
The job has a particularly challenging technical scope and a fast-paced schedule. Add in the dynamic of a a joint venture partnership, and this job is never boring. But, what I love the most is our people managing the work and how they come to work every day, roll their sleeves up and get after it. There is constant engagement with our people, and we are leaders on the project. The folks on this jobsite represent Sundt in a positive way every day and have added incredible value to the overall team.
Why did you choose to work in the construction industry?
I chose the construction industry for various reasons, but most importantly was that my grandfather worked in the heavy civil business. He was a successful contractor for decades, and I would get to go to work with him from time to time. I was always fascinated by all the big equipment and the things that were being built. I always knew that this was what I wanted to do.
Share a couple of your favorite hobbies.
I love to golf when I have time, but my favorite hobby is watching my kids play sports. I have four of them so there is plenty of watching to do. Baseball is really our thing for now and we have multiple kids on competitive travel teams. I love to participate when I can and travel around watching them succeed.
What is your favorite place in the world?
My home. It’s where I am the most relaxed and comfortable.
