Angelica Rosales

Project Director

Angelica brings over 25 years of expertise in management and business development as a project director.A proud alumna of the University of Texas at Austin, Angelica holds a Bachelor of Science in Corporate Communication. She furthered her education at the University of Texas at El Paso, earning a Master of Science in Construction Management.

Angelica actively engages in community leadership roles. She was recently appointed by Texas Governor Greg Abbott to the Governor’s Commission for Women. She serves as a director in The Texas Lyceum and sits on the boards of The Borderplex Alliance, The Hospitals of Providence East Campus, and the El Paso Community College Foundation. She also chairs the Civic Action Lab for the El Paso Chamber and sits on the selection committee for the Public Service Board.

Angelica is an Aspen Institute Latinos & Society Alumni and a Hunt Aspen Fellow. She has also been honored with a Women of Impact Award by El Paso Inc. in 2020 and a Woman of Distinction Award by the Texas Association of Mexican American Chambers of Commerce in 2023.

Angelica’s passion for service is evident in her founding of three nonprofits in El Paso dedicated to supporting women and children: House of Hope, now a Guiding Star affiliate, Villa Maria, and the Willie Sanchez Rosales Family Center. These organizations have positively impacted countless lives, providing vital healthcare services and temporary shelter to those in need.

Tell us about your favorite Sundt project.

UTEP’s Advanced Manufacturing and Aerospace Center for its contributions to our region in aerospace and economic development.

Why did you choose to work in the construction industry?

My father was a civil contractor; I grew up in the industry. It’s incredibly gratifying to know that your work contributes to building critical projects that impact the lives of those in your community. Whether it’s higher education institutions, public safety facilities or multicultural centers, our work is building a better El Paso.

Share a couple of your favorite hobbies.

Weight training, and just recently, training for triathlons.
