DALLAS, Texas (May 8, 2025) – Sundt recently promoted Matt Bothun to Texas regional manager for its Water & Wastewater Group. Bothun will oversee the group’s operations and business development across the state.

Bothun brings more than 20 years of experience to his new role. Primarily specializing in water and wastewater, he has led large and complex projects nationally and internationally. Currently, he is leading Sundt in a confidential wastewater project in Austin, an expansion to the City of Denton’s Pecan Creek Water Reclamation Facility and the El Paso Pure Water Center, the nation’s first direct-to-distribution water reuse facility and a joint venture project between Sundt and PCL Construction.
Bothun has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Nevada, Reno.
For over half a century, Sundt has been building critical infrastructure throughout the state of Texas. Sundt recently received an AGC Build America award for its Broadway Street Reconstruction Project in San Antonio and has multiple infrastructure projects underway in the Central Texas region. Within the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, Sundt is currently leading Segments 2 & 3 and Segments 4 & 5 of Corporate Drive for the City of Lewisville and multiple projects with the City of Denton.
