Sundt Awards $25,000 To Central Texas Nonprofits

AUSTIN, Texas. (January 3, 2024) – The Sundt Foundation awarded $25,000 to five local charitable organizations in Central Texas.

“These grants were made possible through the generosity of our employee-owners,” said Chad Yount, Central Texas regional board member, “We’re thrilled to be able to support a diverse array of causes this quarter.”

Colin’s Hope was awarded $4,000 to support its mission to provide water safety awareness, education and resources to prevent children from drowning. The organization provides education, outreach and water safety lessons through caregiver trainings, webinars and more.

The Elf Louise Christmas Project, whose mission is to bring the joy of Christmas to children in need, was awarded $8,000. This grant money will go towards purchasing and facilitating the delivery of Christmas gifts for kids in Bexar County.

The Boys & Girls Club of San Antonio was awarded $4,000 to support its programs that help kids achieve their full potential in a safe, positive and engaging environment that promotes education, health and character development.

Guide Dogs of Texas received $3,000 to fund its mission to increase mobility, freedom and independence for Texans who experience blindness or low vision by providing high-quality guide dogs.

Austin Civic Orchestra was awarded $6,000 to continue providing high-quality musical experiences to the Austin community and surrounding areas.

The Sundt Foundation awards grants to nonprofits on a quarterly basis. The recipients are selected through an application and review process led by a committee of local Sundt employee-owners.
