Sundt Foundation Gives $14,000 to Three El Paso Charities

 |  Community Involvement, Press Release

EL PASO, Texas. (September 5, 2023) – Sundt Construction distributed $14,000 in grants to three El Paso charities this quarter.

“We are so grateful for the amazing work that these three organizations are doing in El Paso,” said Joseph Riccillo, the Sundt Foundation’s El Paso region board member. “These deserving nonprofits help provide resources and support to vulnerable groups in our communities.”

The Sundt Foundation gave the Child Crisis Center of El Paso $4,500 to support their efforts in providing disadvantaged children with safe shelter, nutritious meals, medical care, transportation, recreation and more. They also offer case management services and parenting classes.

Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of El Paso also received $4,500. BBBS facilitates one-to-one mentoring relationships that help youths in the community reach their full potential. Youth involved in the program are shown to perform better in school, have improved relationships with their parents and peers, avoid risky behaviors and go on to college at rates higher than the national average.

The El Paso Community Foundation received $5,000 to support their cause, Friends of El Paso Animal Services Project. Friends of EPAS was founded in 2017 with the goal of making El Paso Animal Services a no-kill shelter. The foundation bridges the gap between the city shelter and the animals in its care, providing programs to help pets find forever homes.

The Sundt Foundation awards quarterly grants to local El Paso charities that support disadvantaged members of the community. Nonprofits are selected through an application and review process led by a committee of local Sundt employee-owners.
