Sundt Distributes $14,000 in Grants to El Paso Nonprofits

Funds will be used for disadvantaged children in the community.

 

El Paso, Texas (April 19, 2023) – The Sundt Foundation recently awarded $14,000 in grants to four El Paso charities.

“Children are our community’s most valuable resource, and we are grateful to the nonprofits working for them,” said Joseph Riccillo, the Sundt Foundation’s El Paso region board member. “We hope these grants can help with the wonderful work that these nonprofits are doing and would like to thank our employee-owners for their generous contributions.”

Center Against Sexual and Family Violence helps children become healthy and active adults. They have been awarded $5,000 to help with their programs focused on preventing and reducing the episodes of violence among children, teens, and their families through the implementation of a comprehensive healthy relationship curriculum.

Make-A-Wish Foundation of North Texas, El Paso grants life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. The organization is dedicated to helping children through difficult times in their lives by providing them with hope for better times, strength during tough times, and joy to experience in the present. They have received $5,000 to further their efforts in the community.

The El Paso Symphony Orchestra Association works towards making superior concert music available to entertain and educate the multicultural community of the greater El Paso region. It has been awarded $2,000 to support its music education programs. The nonprofit has offered over 40,000 area students the experience of live symphony and has brought the joy of music to over 2,000 senior citizens.

The Quintin Demps Foundation helps young El Pasoans overcome the obstacles they face in life and provides them with the tools and resources they need to succeed. They offer a variety of programs and services focused on helping youth develop the skills they need to be successful in school and in life. They have been awarded $2,000 to provide clothing, food, school supplies, tutoring, and mentoring services.

The Sundt Foundation awards quarterly grants to local El Paso charities that support disadvantaged children and families. Nonprofits are selected through an application and review process led by a committee of local Sundt employee-owners.
