Sundt Promotes Jim Householder to VP and Regional Director

IRVINE, Calif. (November 1, 2022) – Sundt Construction has promoted Jim Householder to Vice President and Irvine Regional Director for its Building Group, California District. As the new leader of Sundt’s Irvine office, Householder will direct business development, preconstruction and operations and collaborate closely with senior leadership on long-term strategy and planning.

“I am pleased to announce Jim Householder’s well-deserved promotion,” said Ryan Nessen, Sundt’s Senior Vice President and California District Manager for the Building Group. “Jim has been an instrumental asset within our team in California and we are all looking forward to his continued success.”

Householder has played an important role in the growth of Sundt’s California District since he joined the company four years ago. He is a recognized expert in the higher education and student housing construction markets, having served in a leadership capacity on several large projects including the California State Polytechnic University, Pomona Student Housing project and a large student housing project for California State University Fullerton.

Prior to joining Sundt, Householder had nearly 20 years of industry experience from two other large general contractors in Southern California. He is a graduate of Sundt’s leadership development program for high-potential employees, a certified Design-Build Professional, and a LEED Accredited Professional. Householder holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Southern California.

Sundt has over 70 years of diverse project experience throughout California. The company has offices in San Diego, Irvine and Sacramento. In addition to the student housing complex at CSU Fullerton, Sundt is working on its third project, a language arts complex at Golden West College in Huntington Beach, Calif.
